Faculty of Mechanics and Technology - Rzeszów University of Technology / Politechnika Rzeszowska im. Ignacego Łukasiewicza

The Faculty of Mechanics and Technology in Stalowa Wola was established within the organizational structure of the Rzeszów University of Technology on December 15, 2016 and is currently the youngest of the seven Faculties of this university.

The beginnings of the Rzeszów University of Technology in Stalowa Wola, however, date back much earlier, i.e. to 1965. It was then that the then Higher School of Engineering in Rzeszów established a Consultation Point in Stalowa Wola under which extramural studies were conducted.

The solid foundations of the Faculty were initiated by the establishment of the Off-campus Teaching Center of the Rzeszów University of Technology in Stalowa Wola on the basis of an agreement concluded in 1998 between the City of Stalowa Wola and the Rzeszów University of Technology.

Currently, the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology has its own lecture halls, modern computer laboratories, a reading room, etc. The building in which the seat of the Faculty is located won the first prize in the 6th edition of the Architectural Competition of the Stalowa Wola District for the most beautiful public building.
