Researchers from Rzeszów University of Technology among the 2% most influential scholars in the world
A dozen scientists from Rzeszów University of Technology were included in the list of the top 2% of the world's most influential scholars whose papers were most frequently cited by other authors in their disciplines and subdisciplines. The Top 2% - is a prestigious list presenting the authors of publications most frequently cited in the scientific literature, compiled by Stanford University in cooperation with the scientific publisher Elsevier and the company SciTech Strategies.
The compilation includes nearly 200,000 scientists from 22 disciplines divided into 176 more specific fields. The prestigious list of 2% of the authors of publications most cited by other scholars includes scientists from 5 departments of our university: Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Mathematics and Applied Physics (the names are presented according to the order given in the ranking).

The assessment of scholars' achievements included publications from all fields of research published by September 1, 2022. The list was compiled on the basis of a comprehensive assessment of the scientific achievements of scholars from around the world and the calculation of a composite bibliometric index (the so-called C-score), taking into account such criteria as the number of independent citations, the Hirsch index or the place and role of the author among co-authors.
